Welcome to the
World Transformation Movement, Cape Town

The World Transformation Movement (WTM) Cape Town Centre is here to support you in your journey of understanding Australian biologist Jeremy Griffith’s breakthrough explanation of the human condition. His reconciling and redeeming ‘instinct vs. intellect’ explanation finally solves the riddle of our ‘good and evil’ conflicted human condition, and ultimately transforms the human race.

With every day bringing more alarming evidence of the turmoil of the human situation, it is unarguable that this psychologically relieving understanding of the reason for our destructive behaviour is the ONLY way we can halt the slide to total chaos and devastation. The World Transformation Movement, which is a non-profit organisation, was established in Australia in 1983 to ensure the world-saving importance of this explanation is disseminated across the planet.

The most prominent member of the WTM South Africa Centre is James Moffett following the passing of John Mulder in 2023. James is the most well versed in these transforming understandings of the human condition at their centre, and therefore the best placed to help people in their region develop their interest in Jeremy Griffith’s work.

James is a world-renowned organic farmer and organic milling and products innovator who founded the WTM Cape Town Centre in 2017.

John, who had a successful career in accounting and was the co-owner of Hermitage Food and Medicine Nursery, was a dedicated supporter of the WTM since 2019. Read James’s beautiful tribute to John here.

SIR LAURENS VAN DER POST, the pre-eminent South African philosopher, wrote in 1961 that “I had a private hope of the utmost importance to me. The Bushman’s physical shape combined those of a child and man; I surmised that examination of his inner life might reveal a pattern which reconciled the spiritual opposites in the human being and made him whole…it might start the first movement towards a reconciliation” (The Heart of the Hunter).

In 1988, in response to Jeremy Griffith’s first book about his reconciling understanding of our conflicted, ‘innocence versus egocentrically embattled’ human condition, Sir Laurens wrote to Jeremy asking “Could you please send me an extra copy of your book? Yours to me is already out on loan because it was so appreciated”. And in 1993, three years before his death, Sir Laurens further wrote to Jeremy saying “I would hope you will always know how we value the examples you set and the work you are doing in Australia.” Read more about Sir Laurens van der Post on the Philosopher Giants page.
